Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet messes in one session, without having to switch devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its affordable price and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time. It comes with an entire dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of attachments and brushes, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom in its own space. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at full speed. However, a quick glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.

The docking station features a handy LCD screen that shows the time when maintenance is required like emptying the debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is able to operate for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. And you can see the entire cleaning information in the app, which is well laid out and is easy to comprehend however we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop clean, when looking at a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. The model of this year features an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This increases the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to pull up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.

This Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining if they are walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.

It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock, and a home-button to send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-refilling.

The only drawback I could find in this model was the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor battery life and component maintenance. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its smart design allows users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.

The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner that can deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum can clear up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It comes with a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without using pads. In addition, the X40 is quiet in its operation, with only occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

The X40 has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges like table and chair legs. The robot can also reach under furniture with low profile which makes it an ideal option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to prevent damage to floors from excessive back-and forth movements.

Unlike other robots, which are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and understand and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, view floor plans and maps, and control mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It also can detect whether the mop pad is at its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It does have a number of characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that utilizes two mops that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has an impressive suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This feature is great as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen on other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There's  robot vacuum reviews  of settings available, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences.  vacuum bot  set these preferences or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of features that aren't offered on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. They can even extend to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
